Stage whisper — A long-secret

CEO MediaMall

I started off my tech journey as a WordPress developer. The fact, I could develop a website with my newfound skill improved my confidence to a great deal. I could walk up to any firm, whether big or small for their patronage.

That was how I got my first job as a Web developer at MediaMall
I think it was the launch pad I needed at that phase.

I was given tasks. Everything was going well. Life was good. I learned more on the job.

Here is the secret

I could not deliver advanced programming tasks because I was still limited on the drag-and-drop nature of WordPress. That was an issue.

Just like every other day, a certain job was given to me, It was beyond what my skillsets at that time could pull through with. I had to look for a senior colleague in one of the Whatsapp groups I was a member of to outsource the job. This new arrangement affected heavily on my cut, it was not a big deal as long as the job is delivered according to the specs.

Somehow, the pattern was beginning to occur repeatedly. I was always on the losing end, the good part was each time this dude delivers the work, I conscientiously go through the codebase.

I started reading what each and every line is doing. I started understanding the paradigm, his thought processes, etc. That provided a sort of leeway to my journey to actual programming.

The straw that broke the camel’s back

I was given a Multilevel Marketing application to deliver, as usual, I called my go-to guy and he billed me 90,000 Naira, and I bargained 50,000 and he didn’t reply to date.

Happy birthday sir Iniobong Akpan for the chances.

Give some claps to appreciate grace.
